![]() ![]() I have countless stories of drivers taking whole batches of packages home because they didn’t feel like delivering them all or had something better to do in the middle of their 4 hour shift. Most of them couldn’t care less and it’s quick cash for them. The drivers that are hired are all contract workers that are given 0 training besides a 10 minute video. Edit: check out if you need more data points #seattle #Denver #austin #Redmond #Kirkland #housing #rentingĪs someone who worked for fetch doing support for residents, I will continue to actively avoid apartment communities that use fetch. For residents, it’s an extra forced step and an added hassle to get their packages delivered (not to mention, more money)- often resulting in more lost or stolen packages than without the service. Fetch is designed for landlords and management companies to mitigate risk and offset package storage. Other times, packages will indicate they’ve been delivered but are nowhere to be found in the building. Often times, there are no time frames within a week available. Fetch also requires residents to schedule deliveries during a particular time frame. I was able to have some of the items redelivered or replaced, but I ultimately to sent them to a friend’s address who isn’t forced to use Fetch. Fetch takes no responsibility in these losses. ![]() Since my building joined Fetch a few months ago, they’ve lost four packages of mine- totaling over 1k (one package included electronics). Instead, residents need to send packages to their designated Fetch facility, and schedule a time for someone to deliver the packages to their building/door. Shippers like UPS and FedEx will be turned away. Residents are no longer allowed to ship packages (except some smaller USPS) to the building. I’ve been renting an apartment for about a year and a half, and my building recently decided to adopt Fetch, for which, residents are forced to purchase at a fee of $15 per month. This is a note for renters (Seattle, Redmond, Kirkland, Austin, Denver) to beware buildings who’ve adopted Fetch, a middle-man package delivery service that’s forced upon renters. ![]()
